Does anyone know what this is - I have two in my garden, just now flowering - cinnamon-coloured bark which exfoliates continuously (as far as I can tell) - multiple slender trunks - open, fan-like shape - deciduous leaves turn colourful in late autumn. 15-20 feet tall.
It is a Deutzia sp. Possibly Deutzia scabra. or one of the named cultivars of this. http://www.google.co.uk/search?um=1...15140l21906l0l26l23l0l4l4l6l235l2613l6.9.4l19
One you see around, in plantings from some time ago that looks like this I figure to be D. scabra 'Plena'. Garden centers stock other kinds these days.
