Hi, I came across this flower and really love the contrast of the deeper purple down the center of each petal with the lighter purple on the rest of the petal. They were growing in groups and have long stalks with bunches of flowers on the ends of each stalk. I think they're pretty common in landscaping around here (Southern California) and I want to find out about them to maybe include in my wedding flowers. Can anyone tell me the name of them? Thanks a lot!

Looks like it might be a Hosta of some type.

"Will the gentleman from Langley please stand". Hostas tend to be more funnel-shaped, with pointed lobes. Some do have flowers that open up more widely than others, however.
