Hello, need help identifying some ground covers on my downtown Toronto street!
These are obviously winter photo's. Just pressing my luck that some forum participants know of these off the top of their head.

    Thanks in advance!

    1 a green confier-esque plant

2 bold, green, spirally-looking... a sedum, but which?

    3 Some kind of Lamium...
    3A.jpg

4 Very soft and fine clump...

5 Creeping Juniper, or is it not low enough?

    6 Assuming 'English Ivy'.

7 Huge clump... what is it?

8 Sorry should have had a closer shot.

9 Maybe... some kind of 'clubmoss'? However looking at 'clubmoss winter' pics in Google Images, I see a lot of green, whereas the plant I photo'd has been losing green as the days have gotten colder. Link 1 - Link 2

5 Maybe. Michael F will respond?
    6 Yup E. Ivy or H. hibernica
    7 Cerastium tomentosum?

    1. Yes, Phlox subulata.
    2. Euphorbia myrsinites.
    3. Lamium maculatum... 'White Nancy' or some such; need to see flowers.
    4. Looks like a Thymus, likely Thymus pseudolanuginosus.
    6. agree
    7. Yes, Cerastium tomentosum
    8. Sedum acre
    9. Looks like winter-damaged foliage of Euphorbia cyparassias.

Many thanks for the prompt response!

Regarding picture detail, if you click the image once, then again when the actual image file loads, you get the full image (1200 px wide), however I can understand if that's still not enough detail. One photo I was already planning to retake.

Yes, I'm sure all the regulars here know that... closer photos are often needed for plant IDs, though I think yours are pretty straight-forward.

5 - Probably Creeping Juniper Juniperus horizontalis, but needs close-ups to be sure.
6 - Common Ivy Hedera helix.
