from Cali beach

    Hi All... I was in L.A. about a year ago and saw what I think was a succulent growing between the beach and the road, I did take I cuttling and it lived for a while and am looing for another one but don't know the name of it could anyone tell me what it may be called so I could get one from a nurseryif they would carry it.

    Hi daldan--the areas I saw down there were planted with a delosperma of some sort, I think they were the pink ones, or maybe yellow.

    D. cooperi is often available around here, but suffers from our wet winters. There are several species, all would be tender in Montreal, but could be overwintered indoors if you wished to.

    yes growest they had yellow flowers but where green leafs very low it grows somewhat like moss crawling on the rocks but so nice looking. just did a search and these are the ones,Delosperma basuticum .
