Found a thorn bush of some sort, and not sure what it is.

    Cannot see enough detail but it looks like a rose with the black dried rose hips left on from last year.

    Yes, definitely a rose. I'm not seeing strongly recurved prickles, so I would lean toward it being the native Rosa nutkana. If better photos can be taken of the prickles, that might change my thoughts.
