    Please see the attached images.

This plant has been growing very quickly in our garden and it seems to be growing over everything. it has short skinny stalks and stays green throughout the winter. It seems to be expanding its roots underground and giving off new green stalks. It's no more than couple feet tall.

What is this this plant called ?

What is the best way to remove it and ensure it does not come back again ?

If I cut down everything and cover the area in black poly for a year, will this permanently clear the area of this plant ?

    Thanks,
    Arvin
