The weed, Enchanters Nightshade (Circaea lutetiana) grows, I understood in dark damp places and flowers in Summer?
Yet here in Kent, UK it appears to be in flower in Winter and is growing in a sunny dry place?
    Is this a different plant?
    Any help appreciated!

Your plant is not Circaea lutetiana....Enchanters nightshade...which only grows in damp shaded wood..in winter it vanishes completely.

    Circaea lutetiana - Google Search

It looks like Mercurialis perennis..Dogs mercury. But this is another woodland plant and normally disappears in winter and is the first to emerge in the spring.
I wouldn't expect to see it in full flower in January.
