I purchased what was labelled as a cornus Kousa about 5 years ago and it has never bloomed. I planted it in the burlap sac that it came in. It appears to be very healthy with large shiny green leaves. It has grown to 8 feet and seems to like to spread as well but I tend to prune it back a bit at the bottom. It is planted on the southeast side yard that gets a good amount of light. It was planted close to a root of a holly tree that I had cut down. The soil is quite moist and tends to grow moss. I do not fertilize it. Is there anything that I can do to encourage blooms.

Probably a seedling that simply isn't old enough to bloom yet.
