    This was received as a plant from the US National Arboretum. It was originally collected as seed in the Sino-American Botanical Expedition of 1980.

    Locality: Vicinity of Houshanping on south side of Hou River. Elevation 800-1050m. September 21, 1980.

    Same accession.
    Adding photos showing compound leaves and samaras. You can sort-of make out the tree shape - hard to capture it with all that sun. This is near Upper Asian Way, before the underpass.
