In fall, 2011, I planted 160 King Alfred daffs. About 20 years ago, something attacked our yard full of daffodils and we haven't planted any since. Last spring, the 160 were glorious, some in the ground, some in barrels. This year, I estimate 1/10th have bloomed. There are lots of leaves (though not from 160 bulbs) but few blossoms. The same is true of 6 bunches of daffs which were here when we bought the house, survived the early disappearance and have bloomed beautifully every year 'til now. What need I do to get blooms next year?
