Corpse Flower

    Trying to figure out what this plant and flower that just appeared here in Northern Virginia in early May. Any help much appreciated. A friend mentioned corpse flower, but I'm not sure that's a match. Thanks!

    I think Dracunculus vulgaris too, some people might refer to it as corpse flower, it does smell foul, but that common name will bring to mind Titan arum first.

    That it exactly what it is.
    Smells sort of flunky the first few days after opening that that will fade, and then you will notice the flies, not bees, hovering around it. This plant will also get quite tall....mine shows a good 6-8" above my 4ft fence
