I'm interested in growing seedlings from this years fruit, how do you dry the fruit to get seeds. Usually the birds get them in December. The tree isn't in the best of shape so I'd love to start new ones. Thanks.

Pick the fruit when ripe, suck the edible pulp off the seeds (enzymes in saliva may assist germination), then store refrigerated over winter for spring sowing.
