    Hi, folks.

Hiking around Sooke and Central Saanich these past few weeks, I've noticed the following plant with its rather distinctively shaped leaves almost everywhere I look in the shadier sections of the forest floor. Most of the plants appear to stand around 24" in height. Anyone recognize the plant pictured in the attachment? Thanks for looking.

    Looks like Achlys triphylla.

Of note, Californian botanists have split the west coast Achlys into two species. Almost all references will call this Achlys triphylla, though.
