I had A case of scale around Christmas and spent a couple hours with a toothbrush. All has looked wonderful and seems to be thriving. Last night I noticed A couple new white spots so I sprayed Insecticidal spray on both. But, i walked by tonight and noticed discolored spots on the top of the healthier of the two that wasn’t there the night I sprayed. My fear is that I sprayed too much... she is soft to touch the top 5” of the section! Will it stiffin back up or do I need To remove the entire column?!?!? I will Be so sad if I killed This big girl! Please help me... it’s so sad when you’ve become attached to these plants

It does not look too bad, but the softness is a warning sign. Has it got any dark spots?
