    Looks more like hops (Humulus sp.) to me. Definitely not ivy.

    "Police tried to remove the vines, but they were so thick and thorny...."??? They should have called a gardener. It sure looks like Humulus to me.

    Certainly makes the case that hand pruners should be part of police standard issue.

    I love the picture of it being towed down the road...lol
