Something in the Malvaceae perhaps. Malva moschata? Do you remember growing anything with hibiscus-like flowers there?

Hello Daniel, I just searched a Malvaceae and the leaves don't resemble mine. These leaves are really very pretty, finger like shapes, and the plant is now 12 to 13" high. I have not planted any hibiscus like flowers. This just showed up in my veggie patch. I will pot it and watch it. If anyone else has a thought, please let me know. It's quite beautiful.

Take a look at Hibiscus trionum to compare.

Close, but no cigar :) The leaves I have are long, slender, very little webbing, high gloss shine, and very dark green. I really think it's a weed ! The root looks like a parsnip

No-one in their right mind would want one of those revolting poison gas generators anyway ;-)

Aconitum? Do those all have pointed leaf tips? Something like 'Spark's Variety' keeps coming up. I have hardly any idea what Aconitum stems look like.

I just came across Geranium dissectum, while looking at something totally unrelated to this posting, seems somewhat possible.

How big are the leaves (counting as one leaf the five lobes or leaflets)? Am I seeing hairy stems? What about the leaves - hairy too?
    Any flowers yet?
