Hi I live in central Queensland about 10kms from the coast. I have 3 very healthy ponytails growing faster than i expected. One has several new shoots growing from its trunk area. I was told if i remove them and replant them, they will strike quite easily. I tried this with 2 shoots and used a well draind organic mulch and kept it moist about 2 months ago (our spring). They have both gone a pale yellow colour and dont apear to be enjoying there new position without there mother!! Does any one have any expereance with this type of situation or can offer any advise.
Im also trying to find the best way to propergate clumping bamboo if any one can help that would also be appreciated.
    Thanks Wayne.
