Can I make a bud on my yucca grow?

    Hello can someone please tell me how I can get a bud on my spineless yucca to grow can i do a notch above the bud? I'm not to sure with mono-cots

    this is a picture of the bud right below what used to be 3 branches one has been cut, any advice you can give me?
    p.s would removing the terminal bud for the two branches cause this bud to start growing?

    If it is possible to lift your plant and check the roots, you should find a number of 'toes' (latent buds) on the root system. These can be broken off by hand usually, and, if potted and kept in a glasshouse or frame for protection will grow into fine plants. It works with Y. filimentosa and Y. gloriosa, anyway.
