Identification: can anyone identify this?

I bought this plant from a sale and have been unable to identify it.
It has a succulent type of leaf and stems shoot out and a new leaf begins.
It seems to love to be watered which I found odd since it is reminicent of a cacti.
Any help would be appreciated!

 

looks like it may be an orchid cactus, Epiphyllum.
