    Pretty sure this is Cactus and not Euphorbia - always open to any other thoughts.

    Opuntia - I know so little about cacti, never would have thought to look under that genus; think of it as flat and round. The diagram in your link looks exactly like the pic. Will keep looking for blooms. Thank you.

    Just found some references calling this Cylindropuntia arbuscula - new name. Anyone familiar with this?

    Cylindropuntia is a synonym. It may or may not be the most current taxon.
