Help! I bought 5 bare root David Austin roses, 3 HT's called Whisper, and two climbing white Icebergs and planted them this May. I also bought the recommended DA rose food. On the enclosed instructions I put the fertilizer in, one at time of planting the others later after they began to leaf out. As soon as this was done the canes became black, but the pith is still white, the leaves are burning and curling up and either black or very dark green. One of my climbing Icebergs has recovered and one of the HT Whisper seems to be doing well with one bud on it. However the rest are still looking sad. I've tried extra watering, but I'm seeing any results. Will they recover? I live in zone 5, in Topeka Ks.
