Okay, so I went out to my Grevillea to grab a flower for the young bird that has recently joined our family so it could have a special treat for breakfast. As I leaned forward I nearly jumped as I saw a big wasp out of the corner of my eye. I noticed that it was not being very aggresive, to the point of not moving...
    Here's why.....
Commonly and aptly known as the Assassin bug.(Pristhesancus plagipennis )
(sorry pictures are a little grainy, Flip the bird got his breakfast half an hour late that morning by the way:})

A little peachface good for the kids to handle.
By the way it's not shedding it's gotten a little too friendly with the Assassin. Check the proboscis entering the wasp.
