Prunus spinosa is hardy to zone 4 so it will survive in your hardiness zone, which is 5.

Has anyone yet found a Canadian source for Sloe? Seed, seedling, or grocery store fruit?

You posted a while ago about the proliferation of prunus Spinosa in niagara.

I have been trying to propogate from seed with no luck so far.

Where / how might I locate an existing plant to harvest sloes or take a cutting?

Your help would be greatly appreciated

Keithtex's post was from 2012. If he/she is still around I'd sure like to have some seeds. Or anybody from Niagara peninsula area?

Based on what I have (or haven't, in this case) seen in western North America I remain wary of North American identifications of Prunus spinosa - I would want to see photographs or other proof of source material coming from examples of the true species before putting any time or money into it. Also I would be concerned about eastern material being gathered where black knot may be present.
