Identification: Big Mushroom ID

    Can anyone identify this mushroom? It is 24" in diameter and growing in the edge of our yard. I am in Tennessee.

    Meripilus giganteus comes to mind.

    Thanks ever so much. I searched your answer and was directed to the meripilus sumstinei mushroom which grows in North America. The other one is European.

    No, I really thank you. I am 65yrs old and have never seen anything like that mushroom. And I am out and about all the time in woods and fields.
