I'm planning a small orchard on the south shore of Bowen Island and would like to plant the native Malus fusca (Pacific Crabapple) in some boggy areas around a seasonal creek.
Is this tree a good pollinator for heirloom apple trees such as Jonathon, King David, Ashmead's Kernel and Sierra Beauty? Will I need to include some other species of Crabapple to pollinate the late-season apples?
    Thankyou!

There is clearly at least some interaction as it crosses with orchard apple to produce Dawson crabapple.
