In The Garden: Arching deciduous shrub with opposite leaves

    This is another plant discovered beneath the overgrowth of anemonies, nine bark and viburnum near Christmas Hill in Victoria. It was seriously deprived of light, which might mean the leaves are paler than usual. The main stem of is about 3' (1 m) and 10 - 12 branches as pictured.
    I would appreciate some identification help. These pictures were taken today. Have only lived in the house two months so don't know if this is a second bloom. Thanks. Susan

    Thanks. I guess I should wear my reading glasses when I am in the garden. I didn't realize that it had berries, not flowers, on it. Not that it would have helped as I am not familiar with this plant. With this id I can decide how best to prune and rejuvenate it now that it has more light. Thanks for your help.
