Selected for salmon-colored unfolding new leaves which change to pink, light yellow and finally light green as the season progresses and the leaves mature. The species, the European sycamore, is found across the mountainous regions of Europe from the Pyrenees in Spain, eastwards to the Caucasus Mountains near the Caspian Sea.
