Acer miyabei ssp. miaotaiense - UWBG Washington Park Arboretum, Seattle, accessions 2003. Native to Gansu, Henan, Hubei, Shaanxi, and Zhejiang provinces of China, it is considered to be at a high risk of extinction in the wild in the medium-term future. Note that it is endemic to Foping National Nature Reserve, which was established to protect the giant panda and its habitat. See: http://www.wildgiantpanda.com/reserve/foping.htm.
