According to Maples of the World, this maple, from Greece and Western Turkey, has the smallest leaves in the genus Acer (5-15 mm). My plant, which I have just obtained this year, is of Dutch origin and has been grafted into A. hyrcanum understock since seeds are hard to obtain. In its natural range it grows in dry, sunny, stony places.

Is yours still alive Agustin? I obtained this graft of Queen Amalia's maple in 2011, it is very difficult and dies back every winter...
