    As we did not yet have a thread for this, here are a couple of pictures taken 18 Aug 2012.

    'Karmen' seems to be slightly more complicated than the usual davidiis, and demands a very even watering regime This is my second one, planted in fall 2008. It has lost several major branches getting established, but hopefully is over the hump now. The first one was in a slightly wet spot and I believe died as a result; an A buergerianum now thrives in this spot.

    The contrast between bright yellow spring flowers and shiny new red leaves is very attractive. I will try and find a picture of this.
