    30 June 2017 Tree for identification. 30 June 2017 Tree for identification.

    This tree is growing wild in the rear of this property. Today I noticed it has some type of fruit in clumps of three or four widely spaced. Zone 5 in the Great Lakes area of Ontario. Identification please. If other pictures re necessary .I can produce.

    Thank you. You appear be right. There are many black walnut in this area.
    Apparently it is undesirable in a backyard garden due to its root inhibitors which prevent other plants from growing. The growth is astonishing. That tree is about five years growing in my area and it is quite large and healthy.
