This vine was growing up a utility pole in Oakland, ON, Canada. I took a few quick pictures, since it was so spectular. The red flowers are most attractive and the vine has sort of taken over. I don't suppose the Electrical Utility people are amused.

There is one in my garden in the back area on its own pole. My vine has yellow flowers, and it is in it second year and is about three meters tall. Apparently this vine can be most invasive.
