Identification: Ganoderma applanatum aka Artist's Conk?

    Location:
    British Columbia
    Habitat:Wood - Found in deciduous woods, growing tiered on sides of a fallen rotting tree. What are the little brown mushrooms growing next to it?

    Gills: no gills, has pores

    Stem: no

    Cap: white/beige fan shaped

    Bruising: none

    Size: about 4" to 8"

    Spore print: did not take a sample.

    General location: Pacific Northwest

    Good call - yes your polypore is an Artists conk. Love the way the spores settle on the top of the cap with these :-).
    Don't have enough detail on the small mushrooms by it to hazard a guess.
