Help needed please to ID this Asteraceae

    I came across this most interesting Asteraceae. Perhaps it is a Lactuca taxon? My botanical library has now reached 140 volumes. Nevertheless, I realise that one could have a 1000 vols on botany but something is always lacking. UBC forums are a God send.

    In the genus Sonchus, I think.

    No, Lactuca seriola, I guess. Notice the bristles along the leaf midvein. Sonchus does not have those.
