    That looks like a compound leaf. (?) Did you notice if the leaves (not the leaflets) were opposite or alternate? Do you have a photo of the trunk? Were there any old seeds or fruits on the ground? Flowers or fruits help a lot with plant IDs. If you don't have that, you need to notice everything you can.

    It could possibly be some type of Pterocarpus. I don't know if the ones in Brazil have that many leaflets on a leaf.

    Nope, not a compound leaf. Looks like a Ficus species to me, some similarity to Ficus benjamina, though not quite right for that.

    Location would help - looks sort of tropical / subtropical?
