Last Spring, we traveled through California, mostly along the coast and saw many flowers foreign to us at home. These particular ones were seen between Santa Rosa and the coast . . are there California flower experts out there who can identify these? I will have several submissions because I saw a lot of flowers. The first one looks like a California poppy but it was growing so close the ground that I wasn't sure.

Yes, the first is a California poppy. I think more details are needed to identify to species.

The third is a variety of Mimulus aurantiacus (there are a half-dozen or so botanical varieties of this)

The middle one could be one of the Eriophyllums.

Thanks to both Daniel and David .. it looks like all three ID's are correct. And sorry for the delay in responding.
