I planted this last year, purchased at Canadian Tire. It was the only one they had, and it had no tag. I've not seen anything similar in this year's stock at local garden stores. It might be more useful if I post a picture once it's flowering later in the summer (seems to flower late July/August), but it has plumes of fine white flowers that are reminiscent of an Astilbe.

My guess would be Cimicifuga racemosa but not sure which cultivar. It is also called Actaea racemosa with common names, False Bugbane or Black Cohosh.
